Teagan's 4mo pictures

We had Teagan's four month pictures done today. They came out awesome. I was a little worried because timing is everything with a four month old. And today was no exception. But she did great, minus the few cries here and there.

Two weeks....

Two weeks is what it's going to take for me to find out if my baby girl will be needing a helmet for three months of her life and if my son will need his tonsils out.

Yes, Teagan has a flat spot. It was really bad, and thankfully is getting better. Hopefully well enough that the cranial specialist that we're going to on Thursday will just recommend some exercises and/or head placement changes we can do to avoid the helmet. So for those who really don't know much about the helmet, the baby has to wear it 23 hours a day for about three months. It's a lot more than cosmetics because if a baby has a bad flat spot the brain will grow in the opposite direction of the flat spot, which means the front of the head. This can misalign the entire face. At her appointment on Thursday, they will measure everything and let me know what they recommend. So watch for an update.

As for Talon, he has had recurring ear infections since December and his tonsils have been inflamed since then also. So they rate your tonsils from a 1-4, 1 being normal, 4 they are touching each other. Well Talon's this last appointment was between a 3.5 to a 4. He's starting to sound muffled when he talks and he can't hear everything you say. So, we go to his ENT appointment on the 18th. His doctor is pretty sure his tonsils have to come out. This is going to be a GREAT summer (hear the sarcasm?).

Other than that, everything is going good. Talon's out of school for the month, but starts summer school late June. Teagan is getting so big, it's just crazy how fast they grow in their first year. Well here is a comparison of Teagan and Talon at the age of two months.
